It’s been raining all day and we decided we could not deal with it anymore…so we ventured out for dinner at our local Irish pub Flanagan’s on Main Street. We took advantage of Tuesday’s $4 Tito’s.
Dinner for Deeder was the cajuned Black and Blue Burger.
I’m trying to avoid foods that stimulate insulin production…so I ordered the smoked fish spread, and made a sandwich out of it with two pieces of cloud bread that I brought from home. I thought I took a pic of the fish spread, but I can’t find it right now.
I just have to say it was the best smoked fish spread I’ve had in Dunedin (and errbody seems to have one). They use Haddock and add capers and some other wonderful things that I don’t remember at the moment…on a bed of greens…all served with rye toast triangles. Mine was VERY tasty, but the lactic acid and carbon-dioxide we’re building up indicating that a fresh batch in need of making. Maybe order it earlier in the day than I did. Still, I recommend the fish spread at Flanagan’s.
